Acorn Publishing Welcomes Alina Elkin as Foreign Rights Manager

We're so excited to share that Acorn Publishing has partnered with Alina Elkin of AS Literary Agency! Alina has joined our team as our Foreign Rights Manager, helping us bring Acorn books to readers around the world.

One of our favorite things about publishing is imagining where a story might go and who it might reach. With Alina introducing our catalog to international publishers and exploring opportunities in new markets, our authors’ books have the chance to travel farther than ever.

Alina has already begun sharing Acorn titles with publishing contacts abroad, and we can’t wait to see what grows from these conversations. Please join me us in welcoming her to Acorn!

Alina has spent seventeen years in book publishing, in both rights and editorial. She began her career as a foreign rights manager, acquiring translation rights across US and European markets, negotiating agreements for best-selling authors, representing publishers at the Frankfurt, London, and Bologna book fairs, and managing the HarperCollins/Harlequin Russia licensing program. She then spent seven years in editorial, leading a romance and young-adult imprint that published up to one hundred titles a year. In that role she published Anna Jane, Russia’s number-one best-selling fiction author, whose books have a combined print run of more than six million copies. Now based in Los Angeles, she devotes most of her time to building AS Literary Agency and to placing international rights for the publishers and authors it represents.
